1. Service Description

LienShield is a document preparation and deadline tracking service for mechanics lien filings. We provide AI-powered form filling, compliance checking, and step-by-step filing guidance for all US jurisdictions.

Important: LienShield is NOT a law firm and does NOT provide legal advice. Our service generates documents based on the information you provide. We recommend consulting with a licensed attorney for legal guidance specific to your situation.

2. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete project information
  • Reviewing all generated documents before filing
  • Filing documents with the appropriate government offices
  • Meeting all legal deadlines (while we track them, you are ultimately responsible)
  • Complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction

3. Subscription Plans

LienShield offers Free, Pro ($15/month), and Contractor ($19/month) plans. Free accounts include 3 filings per month. Paid plans may be canceled at any time. Refunds are available within 14 days of payment if no filings have been generated.

4. Limitation of Liability

LienShield provides document preparation tools on an "as-is" basis. We do not guarantee that any filing will be accepted by a government office, that any lien will be enforceable, or that any payment will be recovered. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

5. Accuracy Disclaimer

While we strive to keep our state law database current, laws change frequently. We make reasonable efforts to update our systems but cannot guarantee that all information is current at all times. Always verify critical deadlines and requirements with your local county recorder or a licensed attorney.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New Mexico.
